Hot Bot Communicates only with emojis. Creating real-time communication between artwork and viewer. Chatbots are custom applications programmed to convincingly simulate the way a human would respond in a conversation via a trained artificial intelligence (AI) program.

Through technology, Housego offers an invitation for interactivity encouraging viewers to shift from passive observers to active co-producers as they engage with the digital media, experience other points of view, and ultimately, form their own individual meanings.

This series features seven textile-based new media artworks that reference large-scale embroidery hoops. Each artwork explores a specific facet of contemporary courtship, including the role of technology, the impact of online representation, communication tactics, and finally historical and contemporary signs and signifiers connected to notions of romance and dating texts.
